What brand of car/automobile/truck do you prefer? Admittedly, I am a Toyota guy. I have 3 of them. With that said, I almost bought a Honda Civic, as I thought it was way cooler than the 2012 Corolla. The kicker for me though, was that they wouldn't match the price of the Corolla. (Civic LX 21k vs the Corolla L base 18k). I told the sales persons that features were not a concern for me. Just a base model that was reliable. The Civic was much cooler, but the Corolla was 3 grand cheaper.

Been an Infiniti guy for about the past 6 years. However the price has elevated to the point that I replaced my M35 with an Acura TL.

I like my Toyota's too. I'm on my 5th one and have had no problems with any of them. I always say that you get what you pay for. A lot of people say Toyota is expensive, and they are, but I like the reliability factor in them. They've had their share of recalls but what auto company hasn't?

Was thinking of getting a new/used car in the near future. I kinda wanted to try a VW C.C. but thought they were over priced so might try a used one first. Currently have a Honda but have owned Toyota, Honda, Datsun, Chevy, and Fords in the past.

Looking back over 48 years of car ownership, I'm surprised to note the following: TOYOTAs owned - ZERO; VWs - ZERO; no HONDA-based product prior ro 1986.

My first car is going to be a Nissan 240sx. I know already. I'm probably going to stay with Asian cars until I die.

While the stigma has been that Japanese cars are of better quality, doing some research, it seems that American made models are narrowing the gap.. I personally, would still never go with an American car over the Japanese brands that have built up solid reputations (Toyota, Honda... Nissan, Mazda).

Toyotas or Hondas for me. The one time I had a Ford (and it was a company car, not my choice) was one time enough...

My parents owned a Ford Fairmont 77. It turned out to be the car that would be primarily available for me to use when I got my license. Having that experience tarnished my views on Fords and American cars in general.

My first car was a 66' Mustang. Loved driving that car around.

The Ford Fairmont was once named Motor Trend's "Car of rhe Year." My mother had a 4-cylider model - it was a gutless "slug."

In late '78,, we bought the third-generation Mustang, the upscale Ghia model with the 5-liter (302) V-8. Another "slug" wirh only 140 HP - far short of the Mustang "heritage."
