With the complete blowouts by every IA team on the schedule so far, are we worse than the 98 Von Appen team?

We are so bad that we will go 1-11, only Lamar saved us from a "perfect" season because Lamar is even worse, they would lose to McKinley HS.

At this point, I think we'd lose to Sacred Hearts.... *sigh*

I bet TxSt wishes they hadn't backed out.

I bet TxSt wishes they hadn't backed out. I'm very glad that they did! It would suck to be blown out by Franchione once again, with a startup program.

I'm the lone "NO" vote (so far) primarily because Chow is a better coach than FVA. I expect that things will get better as NC is able to bring in better athletes who are better suited to NC's style. What I don't know is if he'll be successful in getting the talent he needs. We'll have to wait and see on that one. That is why though I think NC needs to be given the full 3 years to prove himself (one way or another).
IMO, the bigtime dirty lickin's we're taking right now don't mean a whole lot necessarily. While disappointing, it's not really surprising...

One big difference is that Norm Chow is well liked by the community. Nobody like FVA, even the governor hated him. This might give Chow somewhat of a lifeline....
But both teams definitely comparable with regards to on the field performance.

Chow said himself the job is overwhelming and if he had they chance to re do it, he would re consider taking the HC job.

If we get blanked by South Alabama, then you can officially crown this team the worst in UH history.

Perhaps he'll forfeit the rest of his contract so we can hire someone worth a damn? How about it coach? Since you no longer want the job?

AT least that's probably how he's looking at it. He's home with the kids/grandkids, and getting paid to give motivational speeches.

von Appen lost 48-0. NC only lost 47-0. NC is not quite as bad as von Appen.
